Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chemical Engineer to join our dynamic team at Elbait Consultants, based in the vibrant city of Jeddah. Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:

• Process Design and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and implement chemical processes that enhance productivity and reduce costs. Utilize advanced engineering principles to develop scalable solutions tailored to client requirements.
• Project Management: Lead and oversee chemical engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Coordinate with stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory bodies to facilitate seamless project execution.
• Safety and Compliance: Champion a culture of safety by rigorously adhering to industry regulations, standards, and best practices. Conduct risk assessments, implement safety protocols, and ensure compliance with environmental and occupational health guidelines.
• Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in the chemical engineering field. Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve process efficiency, sustainability, and product quality.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical reports, feasibility studies, and engineering drawings. Maintain accurate records of project activities, findings, and recommendations for future reference and audits.
• Client Engagement: Act as a technical liaison between Elbait Consultants and clients, providing expert advice, troubleshooting, and solutions to address their unique challenges. Build and maintain strong professional relationships to foster long-term partnerships.
• Sustainability Initiatives: Drive initiatives to minimize environmental impact by optimizing resource utilization, reducing waste, and promoting the adoption of green technologies in chemical processes.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution. Advanced degrees or professional certifications are highly desirable.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in chemical engineering, with a proven track record in process design, project management, or related areas. Experience in the Middle East or similar industrial environments is advantageous.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles, software tools (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD), and industry-specific regulations. Familiarity with CAD software and simulation tools is essential.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop data-driven solutions to technical challenges.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to diverse audiences. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in team-oriented environments.
• Leadership and Project Management: Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage multiple projects, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of local and international standards, including ISO, OSHA, and environmental regulations relevant to chemical engineering.
