Airport Systems Engineer ICT / ELV (Airport Experience)
الوصف الوظيفي
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airport Systems Engineer specializing in ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems to join our dynamic team in Jeddah. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in airport infrastructure, ensuring the seamless integration, operation, and maintenance of advanced technological systems critical to modern aviation. This role is pivotal in supporting the airport’s operational efficiency, security, and passenger experience through the deployment of cutting-edge ICT and ELV solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- System Design and Integration: Develop, design, and implement ICT and ELV systems tailored to airport environments, including but not limited to communication networks, security systems, building management systems (BMS), fire alarm systems, access control, and public address systems.
- Project Execution: Lead and oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of ICT/ELV systems in alignment with project timelines, budget constraints, and regulatory standards. Ensure compliance with international aviation and safety regulations.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Provide expert technical support for system faults, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime. Conduct regular maintenance and performance evaluations to ensure optimal system functionality.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with airport authorities, contractors, and internal teams to coordinate system deployments, resolve technical challenges, and ensure alignment with operational requirements. Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all ICT and ELV systems adhere to industry best practices, local and international standards (e.g., ICAO, FAA, or equivalent), and safety protocols. Prepare and maintain documentation, including system manuals, compliance certificates, and audit reports.
- Innovation and Upgrades: Stay abreast of emerging technologies in ICT and ELV systems, recommending and implementing upgrades to enhance system performance, security, and scalability. Evaluate new solutions to improve airport operational efficiency and passenger experience.
- Training and Knowledge Transfer: Conduct training sessions for airport staff and stakeholders on the operation, maintenance, and safety protocols of installed systems. Foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence within the team.
Qualifications and Experience
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco, CompTIA, or BICSI) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining ICT and ELV systems within airport or large-scale infrastructure environments. Prior exposure to aviation-specific systems (e.g., air traffic control systems, passenger processing systems) is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in ICT systems, including LAN/WAN, VoIP, CCTV, intrusion detection, and wireless networks.
- Expertise in ELV systems such as fire alarm systems, access control, CCTV, public address, and building automation systems.
- Familiarity with industry-standard software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BMS platforms) and programming languages (e.g., Python, C++) is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices for protecting critical infrastructure.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities are essential.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in ICT/ELV systems (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP)) are preferred.
