Role Overview
As a Project Engineer at Forbes Marshall, you will serve as the dynamic bridge between advanced engineering solutions and their real-world industrial applications. Purpose of the Role
The primary objective of this position is to champion sustainability and operational excellence across Saudi Arabia’s industrial landscape. You will collaborate with partners to elevate their operations from conventional standards to world-class efficiency. By identifying optimization opportunities and integrating Forbes Marshall’s pioneering steam and control solutions, you will play a pivotal role in reducing carbon footprints, conserving energy, and ensuring that Saudi Arabia’s industrial future is both highly productive and environmentally responsible. Your work will directly contribute to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals by fostering sustainable industrial practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert in steam boilers and steam systems, providing deep technical knowledge to all project stakeholders and ensuring the successful implementation of Forbes Marshall solutions.
- Project Identification & Engagement: Proactively identify and monitor upcoming industrial projects across major industrial zones and economic regions in Saudi Arabia, while engaging with key consultants and contractors leading large-scale steam and thermal energy initiatives.
- Design Integration: Collaborate closely from the initial design phase to ensure Forbes Marshall’s innovative solutions are seamlessly integrated into project specifications, enhancing efficiency and sustainability.
- Vendor Management: Oversee the end-to-end process of registering Forbes Marshall on the approved vendor lists of regional consultants and contractors, ensuring seamless procurement and project execution.
- Training & Awareness: Conduct professional training seminars and technical workshops for consultants and contractors to disseminate knowledge about the latest engineering innovations and best practices in steam and thermal energy systems.
- Industrial Benchmarking: Perform comprehensive benchmarking exercises to demonstrate how Forbes Marshall’s deliverables provide superior efficiency, reliability, and sustainability compared to conventional market alternatives.
- Customer Strategy & Surveys: Develop and manage a strategic customer network, conducting detailed onsite surveys to identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Technical Reporting: Prepare and submit high-quality technical reports that offer data-backed insights into system health, operational performance, and potential optimization opportunities.
- Solution Proposal: Recommend tailored Forbes Marshall solutions focused on energy savings, productivity enhancement, and environmental impact reduction, aligning with modern industrial standards and sustainability goals.
Qualifications and Requirements
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc. or B.E.) in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Power, Chemical, or Instrumentation & Control Engineering from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Professional Registration: Must be registered or eligible for registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE). Candidates with active SCE registration will be given preference.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of steam systems, boilers, and thermal energy processes, with the ability to apply this knowledge in practical, industrial settings.
- Industry Engagement: Demonstrated experience in engaging with consultants, contractors, and industrial stakeholders, preferably within the Saudi Arabian market or similar industrial environments.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: A proactive and analytical mindset, capable of identifying inefficiencies and proposing data-driven solutions to enhance operational performance and sustainability.
- Field Readiness: Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Saudi Arabia, conducting onsite assessments, client meetings, and project site visits as required.
