Position Overview

The Maintenance Planner plays a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and compliance of all site assets within the Maintenance department. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, this position is based in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, and is a full-time, permanent role. The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Planner is to lead, govern, and continuously improve the maintenance planning process, ensuring that all maintenance activities are executed on time, in full, and to the highest standards. By optimizing maintenance plans, integrating Maintenance Excellence Packages, and leveraging digital tools, the Maintenance Planner contributes to maintaining assets in a modern state, driving operational excellence, and ensuring competitive life cycle costs.

Main Responsibilities

The Maintenance Planner is the custodian of the Maintenance Planning & Scheduling routines at the site, with the following key responsibilities:

• Development and Execution of Maintenance Plans: Design and implement comprehensive routine and extraordinary maintenance plans for all site assets to ensure optimal performance, minimize downtime, and maintain asset health. Integrate Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) maintenance plans into the site’s Asset & Maintenance Management (AMM) system to ensure alignment with best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and compliance, to align maintenance plans with broader business objectives.
• Leadership and Governance of Maintenance Planning: Establish and enforce maintenance planning standards, including task prioritization, scheduling of maintenance shutdowns, and review of work order execution results. Drive continuous improvement by analyzing performance data and implementing corrective actions. Coordinate with third-party maintenance service providers to ensure timely availability, adherence to specifications, and efficient execution of tasks. Work closely with the technical store team to streamline kitting processes and support maintenance activities.
• Monitoring and Ensuring Timely Execution: Track and monitor the execution of maintenance activities to ensure strict adherence to established plans. Proactively address any deviations or delays, implementing corrective measures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Ensure compliance with AMM standards, regulatory requirements, and maintenance plans to uphold operational integrity and food safety standards.
• Driving Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and refine maintenance routines in collaboration with the maintenance team. Optimize maintenance plans within the AMM system to enhance the quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of maintenance operations. Identify opportunities to incorporate the latest technologies and best practices to modernize asset management and improve overall performance.
