Key Responsibilities
The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives to maximize hotel performance and achieve annual revenue targets. Your role will encompass a broad range of responsibilities, including:
- Sales & Business Development:
- Design and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive occupancy, meeting room utilization, and ancillary revenues such as food & beverage and social events.
- Prospect and secure new business opportunities across Corporate, Government, Leisure, Travel Trade, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions), and Social Events segments.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including corporate clients, government entities, travel agencies, and industry partners.
- Conduct proactive sales outreach through daily calls, client meetings, and on-site visits to promote hotel offerings and negotiate favorable contracts.
- Lead site inspections and presentations to showcase the hotel’s facilities and services, ensuring alignment with Mövenpick and Accor brand standards.
- Account Management:
- Oversee a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Develop and execute tailored account plans for major clients to drive repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Provide timely follow-up on inquiries, proposals, and contracts to maintain client engagement and trust.
- Revenue Generation & Market Intelligence:
- Collaborate closely with the Revenue Management and Reservations teams to optimize pricing strategies and maximize yield.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and pricing dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and business reports to support data-driven decision-making.
- Support the execution of promotional campaigns and seasonal offers to enhance revenue streams.
- Events & Catering Sales Support:
- Partner with the Food & Beverage and Events teams to generate banquet and catering business, including weddings, conferences, and social events.
- Promote outside catering opportunities and coordinate with operational departments to ensure flawless event execution.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Maintain and update client information within the CRM system to ensure accurate and accessible records.
- Document all sales activities and respond promptly to client requests to uphold exceptional service standards.
- Represent the hotel professionally in all interactions, reinforcing brand integrity and guest satisfaction.
- Administration & Reporting:
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly sales activity reports, tracking performance against targets and KPIs.
- Participate in budget preparation and annual business planning to align sales strategies with organizational goals.
- Attend departmental meetings and contribute to strategic discussions to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure strict adherence to Accor policies, procedures, and brand guidelines.
Qualifications & Competencies
To excel in this role, you will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in hotel sales, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in international hotel brands. Prior experience in Corporate, Government, and MICE sales is highly advantageous.
- Market Knowledge: A deep understanding of the Saudi Arabian hospitality market is a plus, given the dynamic nature of the region’s business and leisure travel landscape.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in hotel sales and marketing principles, with a strong grasp of revenue management strategies.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills to secure favorable business agreements.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales analytics tools to track performance and client interactions.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Results-oriented mindset with a passion for driving revenue growth and exceeding targets.
- A commitment to sustainability and responsible hospitality practices.
- Additional Requirements: A valid driving license is preferred to facilitate client visits and site inspections.
