Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization by executing a wide range of duties, including:

• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Develop and present ad-hoc financial reports tailored to the evolving needs of the business, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
• Tax Compliance & Documentation: Prepare and file accurate tax documents in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, minimizing liabilities while maximizing compliance.
• Financial Statement Preparation: Compile, analyze, and interpret financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, to provide stakeholders with a clear understanding of the company’s financial performance.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process by collaborating with department heads to establish realistic financial targets, monitor performance against these targets, and provide strategic recommendations to optimize resource allocation.
• Bank Reconciliations & Audits: Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records and participate in cyclical audits to verify compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and implement best practices to support the organization’s financial objectives.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution. Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in financial software and the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with the ability to leverage these tools for data analysis, reporting, and presentation.
• Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and communicate findings effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to reviewing financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Business Acumen: A solid understanding of financial principles, market dynamics, and the broader business environment to contribute to strategic financial planning and decision-making.
