Data Management Consultant

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Management Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing data processes to ensure the highest standards of accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across the organization. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving data-driven decision-making and enhancing operational efficiency through robust data governance and management strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Governance and Compliance: Develop and implement comprehensive data governance frameworks to ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including data privacy laws and security protocols. Conduct regular assessments to monitor compliance and produce detailed reports on findings.
• Data Strategy Development: Collaborate with clients to design and execute data strategies that align with their business objectives. This includes creating data architecture, quality assurance processes, and governance frameworks tailored to organizational needs.
• Data Health and Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators and data health metrics to identify opportunities for improvement. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance data quality and operational efficiency.
• Data Catalog and Value Realization: Establish and maintain a data catalog that includes a data dictionary and business glossary. Develop data value realization plans, such as pricing and charging model templates, to maximize the business impact of data assets.
• Technical Oversight: Oversee the implementation of critical data management initiatives, including business intelligence and analytics, reference and master data management, data architecture and modeling, document and content management, and data operations. Review and refine data architecture artifacts to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and mentor data management teams, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. Work closely with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with operational and strategic objectives.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced knowledge in data management and governance is essential.
• Certifications: Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of data analysis, statistics, and research methods. Familiarity with relevant technical controls, national standards, and industry best practices.
• Leadership and Communication: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Capable of assessing compliance and preparing comprehensive reports for stakeholders.
• Strategic Alignment: Ability to align data management initiatives with both strategic and operational goals, ensuring seamless integration across the organization.
