Key Responsibilities

As a Java Backend Engineer at Voho, your core responsibilities will include:

• System Design and Architecture: Participate in the design and architecture of scalable backend systems, ensuring they align with industry best practices and business requirements.
• Software Development: Develop, test, and deploy high-quality Java-based applications using frameworks such as Spring Boot, Jakarta EE, or similar technologies.
• API Development: Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices to facilitate seamless integration with frontend applications and third-party systems.
• Database Management: Optimize and maintain relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, enhancing system efficiency and scalability to support growing user demands.
• Collaboration and Mentorship: Work closely with product managers, frontend developers, and DevOps engineers to deliver cohesive solutions. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.
• Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing, to ensure the reliability and stability of our applications.
• Cloud and DevOps Practices: Leverage cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevOps tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins) to streamline deployment, monitoring, and maintenance processes.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance standards, safeguarding sensitive data and protecting against vulnerabilities.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and technical proficiencies:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Java (preferably Java 11 or later) and experience with backend frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, or Quarkus.
