Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer Backend to join our dynamic team at Voho, based in Dhahran. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems that power our innovative digital solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring scalability, performance, and security across our applications, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• System Architecture & Development: Design, implement, and optimize backend services, APIs, and microservices to support high-traffic applications. Ensure adherence to best practices in software engineering, including clean code principles and modular design.
• Database Management: Develop and maintain efficient database schemas, optimize queries, and ensure data integrity. Work with both relational and NoSQL databases to meet the evolving needs of our applications.
• Performance & Scalability: Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to enhance system performance, scalability, and reliability. Leverage cloud technologies and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) to support seamless deployment and scaling.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Partner with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews to uphold high standards of quality and innovation.
• Security & Compliance: Implement robust security measures, including authentication, authorization, and data encryption, to protect sensitive information. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor system health, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime. Utilize logging, metrics, and alerting tools to maintain operational excellence.

Qualifications & Skills

• Technical Proficiency: Profound knowledge of backend programming languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, or Go. Experience with frameworks like Spring Boot, Django, or Express.js is highly desirable.
• Database Expertise: Hands-on experience with SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Redis) databases. Familiarity with ORM tools and query optimization techniques is a plus.
• Cloud & DevOps: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI). Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible is advantageous.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and propose effective solutions. A proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges is essential.
• Communication & Teamwork: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in backend development, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.
