Datamatics Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior GCP Systems & Hybrid Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team in Riyadh. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and managing robust Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and hybrid infrastructure solutions that align with our enterprise-level business objectives. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the scalability, security, and high availability of our cloud and on-premises environments, while driving innovation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior GCP Systems & Hybrid Infrastructure Engineer, your core responsibilities will include:

• Cloud Architecture & Design: Architect and deploy secure, scalable, and cost-effective GCP solutions, including compute, networking, storage, and identity management. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Hybrid Infrastructure Management: Lead the integration and management of hybrid environments, ensuring seamless connectivity and data consistency between on-premises systems and GCP. Implement best practices for hybrid cloud architectures.
• Infrastructure Automation & DevOps: Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Deployment Manager. Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment, testing, and monitoring processes.
• Security & Compliance: Enforce robust security policies, including IAM, encryption, and network security, to safeguard data and systems. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor, analyze, and optimize GCP and hybrid infrastructure performance to enhance efficiency, reduce latency, and minimize operational costs. Utilize monitoring tools like Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Incident Management & Support: Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for infrastructure-related incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid recovery. Lead post-incident reviews to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, security engineers, and business stakeholders, to foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the professional growth of the team.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and technical competencies:

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with at least 3 years focused on GCP. Prior experience in hybrid cloud environments is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in GCP services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Storage, VPC, Cloud SQL, and Identity-Aware Proxy. Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Familiarity with hybrid cloud platforms such as VMware, OpenStack, or Azure Arc is a plus.
• Certifications: Professional-level certifications in GCP (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional DevOps Engineer) or equivalent are strongly preferred. Additional certifications in cloud security or hybrid cloud solutions are advantageous.
