Senior Fire Protection Engineer - Al Ula, KSA

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our dynamic team in Al Ula, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This critical role will be based in Medina and will involve leading fire safety initiatives, designing robust fire protection systems, and ensuring compliance with international and local regulations. Key Responsibilities

• System Design and Implementation: Develop, review, and approve fire protection system designs, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, smoke control systems, and emergency response plans, ensuring alignment with project requirements and regulatory standards.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all fire protection measures adhere to local Saudi Arabian regulations, international codes (such as NFPA, BS, and ISO standards), and best practices to mitigate risks and enhance safety across projects.
• Risk Assessment and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive fire risk assessments for existing and new infrastructure, identifying potential hazards and recommending mitigation strategies to minimize fire-related incidents.
• Project Leadership: Lead fire protection engineering aspects of large-scale projects in Al Ula, coordinating with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate fire safety solutions seamlessly into project designs.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed technical reports, drawings, and specifications for fire protection systems, ensuring clarity and accuracy for implementation and future reference.
• Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance fire safety awareness among project teams and end-users, fostering a culture of proactive risk management and emergency preparedness.
• Collaboration and Innovation: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate cutting-edge fire protection technologies and innovative solutions that enhance safety while optimizing project efficiency and sustainability.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (such as PE, CFPS, or SFPE) are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in fire protection engineering, with a proven track record in designing and implementing fire safety systems for large-scale infrastructure, commercial, or industrial projects.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of fire protection codes and standards, including NFPA 13, NFPA 72, NFPA 101, and local Saudi regulations. Proficiency in fire modeling software, CAD tools, and other relevant engineering software is required.
• Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior engineers and communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders. Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
