Quality Engineer (Mega Civil Project)

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned and highly motivated Senior Quality Engineer to join our dynamic Project and Construction Management team based in Riyadh. This pivotal position is part of our esteemed Infrastructure Division, where you will play a critical role in overseeing the execution of large-scale civil engineering and transportation projects, including roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels within urban environments. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that all construction activities adhere to the highest quality standards, regulatory compliance, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for upholding and enhancing quality assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle. Your duties will include:

• Quality Assurance Oversight: Conduct thorough monitoring and inspection of construction processes to verify compliance with established quality standards, industry regulations, and project specifications.
• Data-Driven Improvement: Analyze quality-related data to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for process optimization, ensuring continuous enhancement of construction methodologies.
• Team Leadership and Training: Provide expert guidance and training to staff on quality assurance best practices, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence across the project team.
• Audit Participation: Engage actively in both internal and external audits to validate adherence to quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and client contractual obligations.
• Documentation Management: Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive quality documentation, including test plans, inspection protocols, and compliance reports to support project transparency and accountability.
• Issue Resolution: Investigate and address client complaints and non-conformities by implementing corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks and prevent recurrence.
• Material and Inventory Control: Oversee the quality and integrity of construction materials and supplies, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align quality objectives and ensure the delivery of high-performance infrastructure solutions.

Your Profile

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quality Assurance, Quality Management, or a closely related field.
• Professional Certifications: Valid credentials such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Master Quality Manager (MQM) are highly desirable and will be considered a significant advantage.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in quality assurance, with a strong emphasis on consultancy roles. Candidates with exclusively contractor-based experience will not be considered.
• Project Expertise: Demonstrated experience in managing quality assurance for road infrastructure projects. Candidates without direct experience in road construction will not be eligible for this position.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is mandatory, while proficiency in Arabic is considered a valuable asset.
• Core Competencies: Exceptional communication skills, proficiency in report writing, strong problem-solving abilities, autonomy, flexibility, and a commitment to technical rigor.

• Additional Requirements: Non-Saudi candidates must possess a transferable Iqama. The role is based in Riyadh, and candidates must hold a valid membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
