About the Role
As an Assistant Manager - Asset Infrastructure Design, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering enterprise-grade IT infrastructure solutions that align with strategic business objectives. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, project leadership, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure infrastructure projects are executed securely, efficiently, and in full compliance with organizational standards. Key Responsibilities
- Vendor Management & Delivery Governance: Oversee vendor implementation activities, ensuring adherence to project scope, quality benchmarks, timelines, security protocols, and organizational governance frameworks. Act as a liaison between vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain alignment with business goals.
- Infrastructure Design & Technical Solutions: Review, validate, and refine infrastructure designs to ensure they meet enterprise architecture requirements and business needs. Provide expert technical guidance to resolve installation and design challenges, and champion solutions that enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Technology Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of industry trends by researching emerging technologies and evaluating best practices. Recommend infrastructure enhancements that support operational excellence and contribute to the organization’s long-term IT strategy and digital transformation roadmap.
- Technical Project Management (TPM): Serve as the Technical Project Manager for assigned infrastructure initiatives, orchestrating collaboration among internal stakeholders, business units, consultants, vendors, and asset contractors. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.
- Asset Infrastructure Planning: Support the end-to-end planning, design, and implementation of IT infrastructure assets. Focus on scalability, reliability, and performance to ensure solutions are future-ready and capable of supporting evolving business demands.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with cross-functional teams, including project managers, architects, and business owners, to gather requirements, communicate progress, and manage technical expectations. Foster strong relationships to ensure seamless alignment and collaboration across departments.
- Risk, Security & Compliance: Proactively identify technical risks, enforce cybersecurity standards, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard infrastructure integrity and data security throughout project lifecycles.
- Project Governance & Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design standards, implementation plans, project reports, and governance updates. Ensure proper change management processes are followed and facilitate knowledge transfer to support teams.
- Operational Readiness & Handover: Validate that infrastructure solutions are fully tested, documented, and operationally ready prior to production handover. Collaborate with operations and support teams to ensure a smooth transition and minimize disruption to business operations.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor infrastructure performance to identify opportunities for enhancement. Recommend and implement improvements to boost availability, resilience, and operational efficiency, ensuring systems operate at peak performance.
Qualifications & Skills
To excel in this role, you should possess a minimum of four years of experience in infrastructure implementation and management, with a strong focus on Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems. A solid foundation in networking, compute, storage, virtualization, and security is essential, along with proficiency in ELV/ICT systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities and communication skills, enabling them to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
