Key Responsibilities

In this strategic role, you will be responsible for driving business growth by leveraging your market expertise and relationship-building skills. Your core duties will include:

• Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification: Conduct thorough market research to assess industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities in Saudi Arabia’s defense and maritime sectors. Translate insights into actionable strategies to position Naval Group as a preferred partner.
• Business Development and Partnerships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, defense contractors, and private sector stakeholders. Lead negotiations, proposals, and presentations to secure new contracts and expand our market presence.
• Strategic Planning and Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tailored business plans aligned with Naval Group’s objectives. Monitor progress, adjust strategies as needed, and ensure timely delivery of business development initiatives.
• Client Engagement and Retention: Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term loyalty. Address challenges proactively and identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities to maximize revenue potential.
• Regulatory and Compliance Adherence: Stay abreast of local and international regulations, trade policies, and compliance requirements to ensure all business activities align with legal and ethical standards.
• Reporting and Performance Tracking: Prepare detailed reports on business development activities, market trends, and performance metrics. Present findings to senior leadership to inform strategic decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you will bring a blend of professional experience, cultural adaptability, and a passion for international business. The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., MBA, Project Management) is a plus.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably within the defense, maritime, or aerospace industries.
• Proven track record of successfully identifying and closing business deals in international markets, with a strong network in the Middle East preferred.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with fluency in English required. Proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data, assess risks, and develop data-driven strategies.
• Cultural sensitivity and adaptability to thrive in a diverse and dynamic business environment.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Eligibility for the V.I.E program, including age (typically under 28) and compliance with French labor regulations for international assignments.
