UX/UI Designer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

As a UX/UI Designer, you will:

• Design User Interfaces: Develop and refine user interfaces for digital applications spanning multiple platforms, ensuring seamless interaction and optimal usability.
• Conduct User Research: Lead user research initiatives, including usability testing and feedback collection, to inform data-driven design decisions and enhance user satisfaction.
• Create Design Artifacts: Produce wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for new features and product improvements, bridging the gap between concept and execution.
• Maintain Design Systems: Develop, document, and maintain a robust design system, component library, and style guidelines to ensure scalability, consistency, and efficiency across projects.
• Map User Journeys: Design intuitive user journeys and interaction flows that streamline workflows and improve the overall user experience for diverse user groups.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with Product Owners, engineers, and stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle to ensure alignment, feasibility, and successful implementation of design solutions.
• Ensure Compliance and Accessibility: Uphold accessibility standards and healthcare compliance requirements, such as WCAG, to create inclusive designs that cater to all users, including those with disabilities.
• Reflect Brand Identity: Craft visually striking designs that embody Sanar’s brand identity while resonating with a broad and diverse audience, including Arabic-speaking users.
• Stay Ahead of Industry Trends: Conduct competitive analysis and continuously update your knowledge of healthcare UX best practices to deliver innovative and effective design solutions.
• Facilitate Design Workshops: Lead design thinking workshops and advocate for user-centered methodologies to foster a culture of empathy and innovation within the team.

Required Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must possess the following:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in UX/UI design, with a strong focus on digital products.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent platforms.
• A robust portfolio that showcases your user-centered design process, problem-solving skills, and tangible outcomes.
• Hands-on experience with responsive design principles and a deep understanding of user-centered design methodologies.
• Familiarity with usability testing methods and techniques for gathering meaningful user insights.
• Knowledge of front-end development constraints and the ability to facilitate smooth design-to-development handoffs.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will set you apart:

• Prior experience designing for the healthcare or telemedicine sectors.
• Expertise in designing for Arabic/RTL (right-to-left) languages and familiarity with the MENA market’s unique user needs.
• A strong grasp of accessibility standards, including WCAG, and inclusive design principles.
• Understanding of healthcare workflows and the specific requirements of clinical users.
• Experience in developing and maintaining design systems and component libraries.
