The Officer – Accounting plays a pivotal role in managing and executing accounting functions related to domestic and international cargo revenue. Key Responsibilities

The Officer – Accounting is tasked with a range of critical responsibilities, including:

• Revenue Recognition and Validation: Accurately recognize cargo revenue by meticulously validating supporting documentation and applying sound accounting principles to ensure compliance with financial standards.
• Documentation Management: Ensure all required documentation for credit sales claims is complete, accurate, and submitted within stipulated deadlines to facilitate smooth financial operations.
• Billing and Revenue Alignment: Oversee billing activities for the designated region and align revenue recognition processes with monthly and quarterly financial closing schedules to maintain consistency and timeliness in financial reporting.
• Audit and Compliance Support: Assist in the preparation of documentation for audits, reviews, or submissions, ensuring that all financial records are audit-ready and compliant with regulatory standards.
• Administrative Excellence: Perform general administrative tasks to support document control processes, ensuring organized and efficient handling of financial records and related documentation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, billing, and collections teams to streamline revenue recognition and cash application processes, fostering seamless interdepartmental coordination and operational synergy.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is required.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 0 to 4 years of relevant experience in accounting or a similar field is essential. Candidates with prior exposure to cargo revenue accounting, financial reporting, or audit support will be highly preferred.
