Enterprise Architecture Senior Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Enterprise Architecture Senior Manager to spearhead the development, governance, and strategic alignment of our organization’s Enterprise Architecture (EA) framework. This pivotal role will be responsible for embedding robust architecture standards, principles, and reference models into all technology decisions, solution delivery processes, and investment planning initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of enterprise-wide systems, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders to drive cohesive, enterprise-level alignment and transformation.

Key Responsibilities

EA Governance & Strategic Leadership

As the driving force behind our EA governance initiatives, you will lead the architecture review boards and establish rigorous governance processes to ensure adherence to established EA principles, standards, and reference architectures. Your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the compliance of all technology initiatives and major programs with EA frameworks;
• Evaluating and approving architecture exceptions through comprehensive risk and impact assessments;
• Championing the adoption of EA best practices across the enterprise to maintain architectural integrity and coherence.

Strategic Alignment & Portfolio Optimization

You will play a critical role in aligning our IT initiatives and application landscape with overarching business strategies and capabilities. This involves:

• Driving portfolio rationalization, optimization, and technology standardization to enhance efficiency and reduce redundancy;
• Identifying opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency across platforms and systems;
• Providing strategic insights and recommendations to support informed investment decisions and long-term planning.

EA Frameworks & Standards Development

You will be responsible for defining, enhancing, and maintaining our EA frameworks, standards, and reference models. This includes:

• Ensuring consistent adoption of EA practices across all architectural domains, including applications, infrastructure, and integration;
• Leading the creation and maintenance of architecture artifacts, viewpoints, and repositories to support decision-making;
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine and evolve our architectural standards in response to technological advancements and business needs.

Stakeholder Engagement & Influential Leadership

As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, business stakeholders, and technology teams, you will:

• Partner with executives to align architecture strategy with business objectives and transformation initiatives;
• Act as a key influencer in complex, cross-functional environments to drive consensus and alignment;
• Communicate architectural concepts and strategies effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Delivery Oversight & Execution Support

You will ensure that architectural principles are seamlessly integrated into our delivery lifecycles and major programs. This involves:

• Providing architectural direction and governance to support the successful execution of initiatives;
• Bridging the gap between strategic vision and tactical execution across delivery teams;
• Monitoring and ensuring the architectural integrity of solutions throughout their development and deployment.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
• 9–12+ years of progressive experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, or a closely related discipline;
• Proven expertise in Enterprise Architecture governance and the implementation of EA frameworks;
• Extensive experience working in large-scale enterprise environments with multi-domain architecture responsibilities (applications, infrastructure, integration);
• Strong leadership experience in architecture roles, with a track record of driving architectural excellence and innovation;
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern architecture practices;
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in TOGAF or an equivalent enterprise architecture framework;
• Cloud Solution Architect certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP);
• Certification in COBIT, with an understanding of IT governance and risk management;
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management experience.
