Senior Dockhand – Red Sea Global, Riyadh
Red Sea Global is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Dockhand to join our dynamic team in Riyadh. Key Responsibilities
The Senior Dockhand will play a critical role in managing and supervising dock operations, including the coordination of vessel arrivals and departures, cargo handling, and the maintenance of dock equipment and facilities. The following are the core responsibilities associated with this position:
- Vessel Operations: Oversee the safe and timely docking, undocking, and mooring of vessels, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and company protocols.
- Cargo Handling: Supervise the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring proper securing and documentation to prevent damage or loss.
- Safety and Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies to mitigate risks and maintain operational integrity.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of dockhands, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high productivity and professionalism.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain dock equipment, including cranes, winches, and mooring lines, to ensure operational readiness and safety.
- Emergency Response: Act as a first responder in emergency situations, coordinating with relevant authorities and implementing contingency plans to safeguard personnel and assets.

Qualifications and Experience
To qualify for the Senior Dockhand position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in maritime studies, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in dock operations, vessel handling, or a related maritime role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Certifications: Valid maritime certifications, such as a Dockworker’s License, Basic Safety Training (BST), or other relevant credentials, are required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using dock equipment, familiarity with maritime software, and strong knowledge of safety and regulatory standards.
