Key Responsibilities

The Driver will be responsible for operating company vehicles to transport goods between designated locations while prioritizing safety, efficiency, and compliance with all applicable laws. Duties include:

• Safe Vehicle Operation: Operating company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols to ensure the secure transport of goods.
• Route Planning and Navigation: Utilizing GPS and other navigation tools to determine the most efficient routes, avoiding delays and optimizing delivery schedules.
• Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conducting thorough vehicle inspections before and after each trip to identify any mechanical issues, ensuring the vehicle is in optimal condition for safe operation.
• Load Management: Properly securing and managing cargo to prevent damage or loss during transit, adhering to weight and load distribution guidelines.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of trips, including delivery confirmations, fuel consumption, and any incidents or irregularities encountered during the journey.
• Customer Service: Representing Australia Toll Group professionally by interacting courteously with clients, vendors, and team members, ensuring a positive experience for all stakeholders.
• Adherence to Safety Standards: Following all safety protocols, including the use of seatbelts, defensive driving techniques, and emergency procedures in the event of an incident.

Qualifications and Skills

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A valid Saudi driver’s license with a clean driving record, demonstrating a strong commitment to road safety.
• Proven experience as a professional driver, preferably in a logistics, transportation, or delivery role.
• Familiarity with local traffic regulations, road conditions, and navigation systems in Jeddah and surrounding areas.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to meet delivery deadlines and maintain efficient operations.
• Physical fitness and the ability to load and unload cargo when necessary, ensuring the safe handling of goods.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with team members and customers.
• Proficiency in basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting to address minor issues promptly.
• Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and adapt to changing schedules or priorities as required.
