Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The Chief Financial Officer will play a central role in defining and executing the organization’s financial strategy, with a focus on the following core responsibilities:

• Financial Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement a forward-thinking financial strategy that aligns with the organization’s long-term objectives, ensuring sustainable profitability and growth.
• Corporate Finance & Governance: Oversee all aspects of corporate finance, including financial reporting, treasury management, tax strategy, and regulatory compliance, while strengthening internal controls and governance frameworks.
• Strategic Planning & Investment: Lead the creation of long-term financial plans, investment strategies, and capital allocation frameworks to optimize resource utilization and maximize returns.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Drive the budgeting process, financial forecasting, and performance analysis to provide actionable insights for executive leadership and the Board.
• Mergers & Acquisitions: Spearhead acquisitions, investments, and financing activities, evaluating opportunities to enhance shareholder value and accelerate growth.
• Risk Management: Champion enterprise risk management from a financial perspective, identifying and mitigating risks to safeguard the organization’s assets and reputation.
• Team Leadership & Development: Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Manage critical relationships with banks, auditors, investors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring transparency and trust in all financial communications.
• Board & Executive Collaboration: Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board, providing strategic financial insights and supporting informed decision-making at the highest levels.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the following experience:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. Professional qualifications such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or CMA are essential, while an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly desirable.
• Experience: A minimum of 18 years of progressive finance leadership experience, with a proven track record of executive leadership in complex organizational environments.
• Skills & Competencies: Demonstrated strategic and commercial acumen, exceptional communication skills for Board-level interactions, and a deep understanding of financial governance and compliance.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is mandatory to effectively engage with stakeholders and lead financial discussions at all levels.
