Senior AI Backend Engineer - Agent Evaluation & Quality

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior AI Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team at Salla, based in Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing the backend infrastructure that powers our AI-driven agent evaluation and quality assurance systems. Key Responsibilities

• System Architecture & Development: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of backend systems that support AI agent evaluation and quality monitoring. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and architectural best practices.
• AI Agent Evaluation: Develop and refine methodologies for assessing the performance, accuracy, and efficiency of AI agents. Implement robust evaluation frameworks that provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
• Quality Assurance & Optimization: Establish and enforce quality standards for AI-driven processes, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and organizational goals. Identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance to enhance scalability and responsiveness.
• Data Management & Analysis: Oversee the collection, processing, and analysis of data related to AI agent performance. Utilize advanced analytics tools to derive meaningful insights and drive data-informed decision-making.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with product managers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to align backend development with business objectives. Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the team.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure that all backend systems adhere to stringent security protocols and regulatory requirements. Implement measures to safeguard sensitive data and maintain system integrity.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in backend development, with at least 3 years focused on AI or machine learning systems.
• Technical Proficiency: Profound expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go. Strong knowledge of backend frameworks (e.g., Django, Spring Boot, Flask) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure). Familiarity with AI/ML libraries and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) is highly desirable.
• Problem-Solving & Innovation: Demonstrated ability to tackle complex technical challenges and deliver scalable solutions. A passion for exploring emerging technologies and driving innovation in AI-driven systems.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Proven track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Experience in leading technical projects and mentoring junior engineers. A collaborative mindset with a commitment to fostering a positive and productive team environment.
