Junior AI Engineer - Computer Vision

Role Overview

We are actively seeking a Junior AI Engineer - Computer Vision to join our dynamic AI engineering team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, developing, and deploying advanced vision-based AI systems tailored for real-world production environments. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the creation of scalable image and video analytics solutions that address complex business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Model Development & Training: Design, train, and fine-tune Computer Vision models for image and video analysis, focusing on tasks such as object detection, image classification, segmentation, and tracking.
• Data Management: Prepare, clean, label, and augment datasets to ensure high-quality inputs for model training and evaluation.
• Performance Optimization: Enhance model efficiency by optimizing GPU performance, inference speed, and scalability to meet production requirements.
• Deployment & Integration: Deploy AI models into production environments using APIs and containerized services, ensuring seamless integration with broader AI and analytics platforms.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Work alongside software engineers, data scientists, and product teams to align technical solutions with business objectives. Maintain comprehensive documentation and uphold code quality and reproducibility standards.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and technical competencies:

• Education: A Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in AI, Machine Learning, or Deep Learning, with a strong focus on Computer Vision.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Expertise in Python and familiarity with ML/CV libraries such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, and OpenCV.
  • Strong understanding of CNN-based models and modern Computer Vision architectures.
  • Experience with object detection and segmentation frameworks, including YOLO and Detectron2.
  • Knowledge of model evaluation metrics and performance optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with Docker and foundational MLOps practices for model deployment.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills to effectively collaborate in a global team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following skills and experiences are advantageous:

• Hands-on experience with video analytics or real-time inference systems.
• Exposure to advanced architectures such as Vision Transformers or multimodal AI models.
• Practical experience with GPU-based training and inference workflows.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, including OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Domain expertise in sectors such as healthcare, smart cities, or industrial AI applications.
