Quality Officer & Internal Auditor

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Officer & Internal Auditor to join our dynamic team at a leading mining company. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with international quality standards, conducting thorough internal audits, and driving continuous improvement within our quality management systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of ISO 9001 requirements, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight: Monitor, evaluate, and maintain compliance with ISO 9001 standards, ensuring adherence to documented procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Internal Auditing: Plan, execute, and document internal audits to assess the effectiveness of QMS processes, identifying areas for improvement and non-conformities.
• Audit Reporting & Follow-Up: Prepare comprehensive audit reports, highlighting findings, risks, and corrective actions. Track and verify the implementation of corrective measures to ensure sustained compliance.
• Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency, reduce inefficiencies, and foster a culture of quality excellence.
• Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with department heads, senior management, and external auditors to communicate audit results, trends, and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
• Training & Awareness: Conduct training sessions and workshops to promote awareness of quality standards and best practices among employees.
• Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of audits, corrective actions, and QMS documentation in compliance with ISO 9001 and company policies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Certification: Must hold a valid ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Certificate from an accredited training provider (mandatory requirement).
• Education & Experience: Prior experience in internal auditing, quality management systems, or a related field is highly advantageous. Familiarity with mining industry standards is a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements, audit methodologies, and risk assessment techniques.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to prepare clear, concise, and actionable audit reports.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical mindset with the capability to identify root causes of non-conformities and propose effective corrective actions.
• Adaptability: Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced corporate environment.
• Language & Nationality: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is beneficial but not mandatory. Open to candidates of all nationalities.
