Field Operator - Power Generation

The Field Operator - Power Generation role is a critical position responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our power generation equipment. This includes gas turbines, steam turbines, heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs), and auxiliary systems.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating and monitoring equipment according to established procedures and safety protocols.
• Performing regular inspections to ensure operational integrity and optimal performance.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations, company policies, and promoting a culture of safety.
• Monitoring operational parameters and reporting any anomalies or deviations to the Control Room Operator (CRO) or Shift Supervisor.
• Assisting in the start-up and shutdown of plant systems, following established operational protocols.
• Executing emergency procedures as necessary in response to alarms or operational disturbances.
• Collaborating closely with the control room team, communicating real-time operational status and receiving instructions.
• Performing routine maintenance tasks and conducting visual inspections to maintain efficient operation.
• Maintaining accurate records of operational activities, equipment status, and incidents.
• Identifying and recommending opportunities for improving operational efficiency and reliability.
• Engaging in training and development programs to enhance technical skills related to Siemens gas turbines and power plant operations.

Requirements include:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering is preferred.
• Minimum of [X] years of experience in power plant operations, with specific experience in operating gas turbines, preferably Siemens models.
• Understanding of combined cycle power generation, turbine operation, and related systems and technologies.
• Proficient in the use of monitoring and control systems relevant to power generation.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and operational integrity.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with control room operators and maintenance personnel.
• Ability to work in a challenging industrial environment, including exposure to high temperatures, noise, and rotating machinery.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
