Electrical Technician

The Electrical Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize plant downtime. This role involves performing preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities, as well as routine inspections to identify abnormal conditions.

• Carry out cleaning, tightening, lubrication, replacement of defective parts, cable termination, and minor repair work.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults, alarms, trips, and abnormal operating conditions.
• Support maintenance, inspection, and repair of a wide range of electrical equipment, including medium and low-voltage switchgear, generators, transformers, motors, UPS systems, and more.
• Use approved electrical test instruments to perform routine electrical testing and assist with specialist testing activities.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, modification, and upgrading of electrical systems and equipment.
• Follow all electrical safety rules, permit-to-work requirements, and ensure compliance with applicable site procedures and environmental, health, and safety standards.
• Complete maintenance checklists, inspection sheets, test reports, and other documentation accurately.
