GIS Full Stack. Net, Developer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated GIS Full Stack .Net Developer to join our dynamic team at Master-Works, based in Riyadh. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust GIS (Geographic Information Systems) applications using modern .NET technologies. Your expertise will bridge the gap between frontend and backend development, ensuring seamless integration of spatial data with enterprise-level solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in .NET frameworks, GIS platforms, and full-stack development principles, with a passion for creating scalable and high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Full Stack Development: Design, develop, and deploy full-stack GIS applications using .NET Core, ASP.NET, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).
• GIS Integration: Implement and optimize GIS functionalities, including spatial data processing, mapping, geocoding, and route analysis, using platforms such as ArcGIS, MapInfo, or open-source alternatives like QGIS and Leaflet.
• Database Management: Develop and maintain spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS, SQL Server Spatial) to ensure efficient storage, retrieval, and manipulation of geospatial data.
• API Development: Design and build RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between GIS applications and backend services, ensuring scalability and security.
• UI/UX Development: Create intuitive and responsive user interfaces for GIS applications, leveraging frontend technologies to enhance user experience and accessibility.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize application performance, ensuring fast load times, minimal latency, and efficient data processing for large-scale GIS datasets.
• Collaboration and Mentorship: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including GIS analysts, data scientists, and project managers, to deliver high-quality solutions. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers as needed.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Write unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to ensure the reliability, security, and functionality of GIS applications. Implement best practices for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation for developed applications, including technical specifications, user manuals, and API documentation. Generate reports on project progress, challenges, and solutions for stakeholders.
• Stay Updated with Industry Trends: Keep abreast of emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in GIS and .NET development. Propose innovative solutions to enhance existing systems and processes.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and technical skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geomatics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in GIS or .NET development are a plus.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Strong expertise in .NET frameworks, particularly .NET Core and ASP.NET.
  • Proficiency in frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Experience with GIS platforms and libraries, including ArcGIS, MapInfo, QGIS, Leaflet, or OpenLayers.
  • Familiarity with spatial databases such as PostGIS, SQL Server Spatial, or Oracle Spatial.
  • Knowledge of RESTful API design and development.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable.
