Key Responsibilities

• Platform Development & Maintenance: Develop, customize, and maintain e-commerce websites and applications using modern technologies such as Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce, or other relevant platforms. Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of the digital storefronts.
• Frontend & Backend Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement user-friendly interfaces, integrating responsive design principles and optimizing for mobile and desktop experiences. Develop and maintain backend systems, APIs, and databases to support seamless transaction processing and inventory management.
• E-commerce Integration: Integrate third-party services, payment gateways, shipping providers, and CRM systems to enhance functionality and streamline business operations. Ensure compatibility with multiple payment methods and compliance with regional and international standards.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize website performance, including page load speeds, conversion rates, and user engagement metrics. Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues promptly and minimize downtime.
• Security & Compliance: Implement robust security measures to protect customer data, transactions, and sensitive information. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations, such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, and local Saudi Arabian laws, including the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).
• Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with marketing, design, and product teams to align e-commerce strategies with business objectives. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Analytics & Reporting: Utilize analytics tools to track user behavior, sales trends, and website performance. Generate actionable insights and reports to support data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications in e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, Shopify) or digital marketing will be advantageous.
• Technical Proficiency: Profound knowledge of programming languages such as PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and frameworks like Laravel, React, or Angular. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, RESTful APIs, and cloud services (AWS, Azure) is highly desirable.
• E-commerce Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in developing and managing e-commerce platforms, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality digital solutions. Familiarity with SEO best practices and digital marketing tools is a plus.
• Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions. Proficiency in using debugging tools and performance monitoring software.
• Communication & Teamwork: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural team environment. Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
• Adaptability & Innovation: Ability to stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in e-commerce. A proactive approach to learning and implementing innovative solutions to enhance customer experiences and business growth.
