Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Quality Manager (Healthcare) to join our esteemed organization in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This pivotal role will be responsible for spearheading quality assurance, patient safety, and accreditation initiatives across our healthcare services. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a proven track record in healthcare quality management, compliance, and continuous improvement. You will play a critical role in ensuring adherence to national and international healthcare standards while fostering a culture of excellence and accountability within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

The Quality Manager will oversee a comprehensive range of responsibilities to enhance the quality of healthcare services, including:

  • Quality & Accreditation Management:
    • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust quality management systems across all departments to ensure operational excellence.
    • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements set by the Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI), Ministry of Health (MOH), and other relevant healthcare authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
    • Oversee accreditation processes, including preparation for site inspections, audits, and certifications to maintain high standards of healthcare delivery.
  • Patient Safety & Risk Management:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive patient safety programs to minimize risks and enhance the quality of care.
    • Establish and manage incident reporting systems, conduct thorough root cause analyses (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address identified issues.
    • Foster a culture of safety and accountability through targeted training, awareness campaigns, and continuous engagement with clinical and administrative teams.
  • Performance Improvement:
    • Define, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics aligned with organizational objectives to drive measurable improvements.
    • Utilize data-driven insights to identify performance gaps, develop actionable improvement plans, and track progress through performance dashboards.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and innovative solutions that enhance clinical and operational outcomes.
  • Policies & Compliance:
    • Develop, review, and update policies, procedures, and clinical protocols to ensure alignment with regulatory standards and organizational goals.
    • Conduct regular internal audits and compliance reviews to verify adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
    • Provide guidance and support to departments to ensure seamless implementation of quality standards and protocols.
  • Leadership & Training:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the quality team to build a high-performing and cohesive unit capable of driving continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance the quality awareness and competencies of staff across all levels of the organization.
    • Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to ensure alignment of quality initiatives with broader organizational strategies and objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Quality Management, Nursing, or a related field. A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in healthcare quality management, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in hospital or medical center settings.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) are preferred. Additional certifications in Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies are advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of quality management tools, KPIs, audit methodologies, and healthcare compliance frameworks, particularly within the Saudi healthcare context.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive meaningful change across the organization.
