Key Responsibilities

The Rigger I is responsible for executing lifting operations with precision and care, ensuring the safety of personnel, equipment, and the surrounding environment. Your core duties will include:

• Secure Load Attachment: Properly and securely attach lifting gear, including slings, shackles, and hooks, to loads in accordance with established rigging plans and industry best practices.
• Clear Communication: Provide crane operators with unambiguous hand signals or radio communications to guide lifting, swinging, and positioning operations, ensuring seamless coordination and minimizing risks.
• Load Monitoring: Continuously assess load stability during all phases of lifting, swinging, and positioning to identify and address any signs of instability or imbalance promptly.
• Collision Prevention: Skillfully guide loads to prevent collisions with structures, equipment, or personnel, maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
• Compliance with Procedures: Adhere strictly to lifting plans, method statements, and toolbox talks to ensure operations align with project-specific requirements and safety protocols.
• Immediate Action for Safety: Cease all operations without delay if unsafe conditions are detected, prioritizing the well-being of the team and the integrity of the project.
• HSE and Hazard Awareness: Maintain a thorough understanding of KBR’s HSE policies, particularly those outlined by SATORP, and ensure proper handling of plant hazardous materials to mitigate risks.
• PPE Utilization: Demonstrate proficient knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce its correct usage among team members to enhance workplace safety.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for the Rigger I position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Industry Experience: Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in Oil & Gas maintenance, with a strong foundation in rigging and lifting operations.
• Educational Background: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional vocational training in rigging or related fields is highly desirable.
• Certification: Must possess a valid certification issued by a recognized third-party certification body or an accredited Saudi institute, validating your qualifications and competency to perform rigging tasks safely and effectively.
