Position Overview
As a key member of ENGIE’s Business Unit for the AMEA region, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a pivotal role in driving human resources excellence across the organization. This position is designed to deliver strategic HR support to departments, ensuring alignment with ENGIE’s global vision of responsible growth and sustainable energy solutions. The HRBP will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, fostering a high-performance culture while navigating the complexities of Saudi labor laws and ENGIE’s internal policies. This role is based in Dubai, where ENGIE is actively expanding its presence in renewable energy, gas value chain, and energy efficiency services.
Key Responsibilities
The HRBP will oversee a comprehensive range of human resources functions, including talent acquisition, employee lifecycle management, and compliance with statutory regulations. The role encompasses the following core responsibilities:
- Talent Acquisition & Management:
- Execute the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing and screening to interviewing and selection, in strict adherence to approved manpower plans.
- Develop and maintain a dynamic talent pool of qualified Saudi and expatriate candidates across critical functions to ensure a robust pipeline for future hiring needs.
- Lead the onboarding and induction process, ensuring seamless integration of new hires into the organization while fostering a sense of belonging and alignment with ENGIE’s values.
- Compliance & Employee Relations:
- Implement and enforce HR policies, procedures, and processes in full compliance with Saudi Labor Law and ENGIE’s internal frameworks.
- Provide expert guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, disciplinary procedures, and ethical standards to mitigate risks and promote a fair work environment.
- Monitor HR processes for compliance, promptly escalating any deviations to the Head of Business Services for resolution.
- Handle employee grievances, conflict resolution, and ethics concerns with discretion and professionalism to maintain a harmonious workplace.
- Compensation & Benefits Administration:
- Oversee the preparation and validation of monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with statutory regulations.
- Coordinate salary adjustments, promotions, allowances, deductions, overtime, and all payroll-related transactions in alignment with ENGIE’s compensation and benefits framework.
- Support the annual salary increment and bonus cycles by preparing data, conducting benchmarking analyses, and ensuring meticulous documentation.
- Performance & Talent Development:
- Administer the entire Performance Management cycle, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, and annual appraisals, ensuring timely submission and quality across all departments.
- Collaborate with managers to identify training needs and develop annual training plans that enhance employee skills and competencies.
- Coordinate with external training providers, ensuring compliance with procurement requirements and evaluating training effectiveness through attendance tracking and feedback mechanisms.
- Support succession planning initiatives by tracking talent pipelines and gathering competency data to identify future leaders within the organization.
- HR Systems & Government Relations:
- Maintain and update employee information and HR processes within SEZAME and other internal systems, promoting increased adoption of system functionalities across departments.
- Assist in the implementation or roll-out of HR modules in new entities to ensure seamless integration and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with the Government Relations Office (GRO) to ensure timely processing of visas, Iqamas, renewals, GOSI updates, QIWA requirements, and other government transactions.
- Ensure all employee records comply with statutory obligations and internal controls, mitigating risks and maintaining organizational integrity.
- Employee Engagement & Culture:
- Support the execution of employee engagement initiatives and events to strengthen organizational culture and motivation.
- Assist in internal communication activities, including notices, announcements, and contributions to newsletters, to foster transparency and alignment with ENGIE’s mission.
- Coordinate staff welfare programs, recognition initiatives, and social events to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with the Head of Business Services to implement Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs aligned with local community needs and ENGIE’s sustainability goals.
Qualifications & Competencies
Candidates for this role should possess a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, with a minimum of 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a multinational or energy sector environment. Proficiency in HRIS systems, payroll administration, and Saudi labor laws is essential. Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, are critical for success in this role. Fluency in English is required, and Arabic language skills are a distinct advantage.
