Role Overview

As the IT Manager at Basiqat Resort by Mantis, you will serve as the strategic leader of the resort’s information technology function, ensuring robust, secure, and efficient IT systems that underpin both exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence. This pivotal role requires overseeing all technology infrastructure, including networks, systems, property management systems, cybersecurity, and end-user support. Given the resort’s remote location, the stability and reliability of IT systems are critical to maintaining seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving digital transformation, enhancing operational efficiency, and safeguarding the resort’s technological assets.

Key Responsibilities

IT Operations & Infrastructure

• Lead the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of all IT systems and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Oversee the management of networks, servers, Wi-Fi, and telecommunications systems to guarantee uninterrupted connectivity and communication.
• Administer hardware, software, and IT assets across the resort, ensuring they are up-to-date and aligned with operational needs.
• Monitor system performance to maintain high availability and minimize downtime, with a focus on rapid issue resolution to support both staff and guests.

Property Systems & Applications

• Manage and optimize hospitality systems, including Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and back-office applications.
• Ensure seamless integration between operational systems and key functions such as finance, reservations, and guest services to facilitate smooth workflows.
• Oversee system upgrades, implementations, and troubleshooting to enhance functionality and user experience.
• Maintain data integrity and system performance, ensuring that all applications operate efficiently and securely.

Cybersecurity & Data Protection

• Develop, implement, and enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect the resort’s digital assets and guest information.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and ensure timely security updates to mitigate risks and maintain compliance with industry standards.
• Manage access controls and user permissions to safeguard sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.
• Ensure adherence to data protection regulations and Accor’s corporate IT policies to uphold the highest standards of security and privacy.

User Support & Service Delivery

• Provide responsive and proactive IT support to all resort departments, addressing technical issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
• Manage helpdesk operations, including incident resolution processes, to ensure efficient and effective support for staff.
• Develop and deliver training programs to equip employees with the knowledge and skills needed to utilize systems and digital tools effectively.
• Facilitate smooth onboarding of new employees into IT systems, ensuring they are fully integrated and productive from day one.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Cultivate and manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality support and service delivery.
• Oversee the procurement of IT equipment and software, negotiating cost-effective contracts and ensuring value for money.
• Collaborate with regional and corporate IT teams to align with established standards, policies, and compliance requirements.
• Drive cost-effective IT operations by optimizing resource allocation and managing vendor contracts efficiently.

Project Management & Innovation

• Lead IT-related projects, including pre-opening system setups and system rollouts, to ensure successful implementation and integration.
• Support digital transformation initiatives within the resort, identifying opportunities to enhance guest experiences and operational efficiency through technology.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that align with the resort’s strategic goals and enhance both guest and operational outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring a minimum of five years of progressive IT management experience, preferably within the hospitality or tourism industry. A strong background in managing IT infrastructure, property management systems, and cybersecurity is essential. You should possess a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, along with relevant certifications such as CompTIA, ITIL, or CISSP. Demonstrated leadership in driving digital transformation, managing vendor relationships, and delivering exceptional IT support will be key to your success. Fluency in English is required, and additional language skills are a valuable asset. Your ability to thrive in a remote environment, coupled with a passion for sustainability and innovation, will further position you as an ideal candidate for this role.
