As part of this strategic evolution, we are actively seeking a meticulous and analytical IT Governance Specialist to lead the implementation of digital governance policies and reinforce compliance standards throughout the organization.

Position Overview

In this pivotal role, the IT Governance Specialist will play a critical part in executing and monitoring digital governance policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to national and international regulations governing digital transformation, cybersecurity, and data governance. The successful candidate will contribute to elevating the company’s digital maturity while fostering a culture of governance excellence and accountability across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Governance & Compliance

• Support the implementation and continuous monitoring of digital governance policies and procedures across all organizational units to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with national regulations and industry standards pertaining to digital transformation, cybersecurity, and data governance.
• Collaborate in the development, review, and documentation of digital governance policies, frameworks, and technical standards to ensure clarity and enforceability.
• Monitor and verify that digital platforms, systems, and initiatives comply with approved governance requirements and technical standards.

Documentation & Records Management

• Maintain comprehensive governance registers, digital records, policy documentation, and compliance metrics to support transparency and accountability.
• Prepare and organize data-driven reports and supporting documentation for governance audits, regulatory submissions, and internal reviews.
• Develop procedural guides, templates, and standardized documentation to streamline governance processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Digital Maturity & Risk Management

• Participate in digital maturity assessments by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to identify gaps and recommend strategic improvements.
• Track and manage corrective action plans to ensure timely resolution of audit findings, compliance gaps, and technical review observations.
• Support digital risk management initiatives by documenting risk assessments, monitoring remediation activities, and reporting on residual risks.

Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare and present periodic governance performance reports, highlighting compliance status, risk exposure, and progress on improvement initiatives.
• Serve as a liaison with regulatory bodies, audit teams, and external stakeholders to facilitate reporting requirements and address governance-related inquiries.
• Ensure consistent adherence to approved governance channels, operating procedures, and escalation protocols across all departments.

Awareness & Transformation Support

• Champion internal awareness programs to promote digital governance best practices, cybersecurity hygiene, and compliance culture among employees.
• Contribute to the optimization of governance processes to enhance operational efficiency and support digital transformation objectives.
• Ensure that governance and compliance requirements are integrated into digital transformation projects from the planning and implementation phases.

Qualifications & Competencies

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 2 to 4 years of professional experience in IT governance, digital transformation, compliance management, or cybersecurity support roles.

Required Skills

• In-depth understanding of IT governance frameworks, including ITIL, COBIT, and ISO standards, with a focus on digital compliance and risk management.
• Proven ability to analyze governance metrics, technical data, and performance indicators to derive actionable insights.
• Experience in preparing comprehensive technical and management reports tailored to diverse stakeholder audiences.
• Proficiency in utilizing enterprise systems, digital platforms, and governance tools to streamline processes and enhance reporting accuracy.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of documentation and record-keeping.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and external partners.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as ITIL or COBIT in IT Governance, demonstrating expertise in framework implementation and compliance.
• Training in ISO 27001 for Information Security Management Systems, highlighting knowledge of security governance and risk mitigation.
• Foundational training in Digital Transformation fundamentals from recognized institutions or professional bodies.
• Coursework or certifications in IT Risk Management and Digital Compliance to support risk-aware decision-making.

Language Requirements

• Fluent proficiency in both Arabic and English, with the ability to communicate complex technical and governance concepts clearly and effectively.

Performance Expectations

Performance will be evaluated based on adherence to digital governance policies, the timely closure of digital risk and compliance findings, the accuracy and completeness of governance records, measurable improvements in digital maturity assessments, and the effective integration of governance principles into transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to drive meaningful change within a dynamic digital environment.
