Network & Infrastructure Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network & Infrastructure Engineer to oversee and optimize our organization’s network infrastructure across headquarters and multiple dark store locations. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining robust LAN/WAN connectivity, ensuring secure VPN communications, managing CCTV surveillance systems, and administering physical access control solutions. Your expertise will be pivotal in sustaining high network availability, security, and operational efficiency, enabling seamless business operations across all sites.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be tasked with the following core responsibilities:

• Network Infrastructure Management: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN infrastructure spanning headquarters and all store locations to ensure seamless connectivity and minimal downtime.
• Routing & Switching Expertise: Manage routing protocols, switching configurations, VLAN segmentation, firewall policies, and network performance optimization to uphold maximum uptime and reliability.
• VPN Connectivity Solutions: Deploy, configure, and support secure site-to-site and remote VPN connectivity between stores and headquarters, ensuring encrypted and uninterrupted communications.
• Network Monitoring & Issue Resolution: Proactively monitor network health and infrastructure performance using advanced monitoring tools, swiftly diagnosing and resolving connectivity issues to maintain operational continuity.
• Surveillance Systems Administration: Install, configure, and maintain IP-based CCTV camera systems, Network Video Recorders (NVRs), and remote surveillance platforms to enhance security and operational oversight.
• Access Control Management: Administer physical access control systems, including door controllers, access groups, and user permissions, ensuring secure and compliant facility access.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain precise and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams, IP address management records, and configuration logs, while ensuring adherence to IT security standards and infrastructure best practices.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with IT Support, Security, Facilities, and external contractors to execute infrastructure projects, resolve technical challenges, and support business operations efficiently.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the necessary technical competencies:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in network engineering within a multi-site operational environment.
• Certifications: CCNA certification is mandatory for this position.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • In-depth knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, TCP/IP protocols, and firewall administration.
  • Hands-on experience with VPN technologies, including IPSec and SSL VPN solutions.
  • Familiarity with IP surveillance systems such as Hikvision, Dahua, or Axis, including NVR administration and configuration.
  • Experience with physical access control platforms, including HID Global, Suprema, or equivalent systems.
  • Proficiency in network monitoring tools such as PRTG or Zabbix for real-time performance tracking and issue detection.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional troubleshooting abilities, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication capabilities to collaborate effectively across multiple locations and cross-functional teams.
• Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel to company sites as needed to support infrastructure projects and resolve on-site technical challenges.
