Electrical Technician

Position Overview

Al Jomaih Energy and Water is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Technician to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment to ensure the seamless operation of our energy and water infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• System Installation and Maintenance: Perform the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, including wiring, control panels, motors, and generators. Ensure all installations comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Diagnostic and Repair Services: Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify electrical faults or malfunctions. Execute timely repairs to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
• Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to proactively address potential issues, reduce equipment failures, and extend the lifespan of electrical assets.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and emergency response plans. Ensure all work is conducted in a manner that prioritizes the well-being of personnel and the integrity of the facility.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs. Prepare detailed reports for management, highlighting issues, resolutions, and recommendations for improvement.
• Collaboration and Training: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and other technicians, to ensure alignment and efficient project execution. Provide guidance and training to junior staff members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education and Experience: A diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field is required. A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience as an Electrical Technician in an industrial or energy sector environment is highly preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including AC/DC circuits, transformers, switchgear, and control systems. Familiarity with industry-standard tools and diagnostic equipment is essential.
• Safety Certifications: Valid certifications in electrical safety, such as OSHA or NFPA 70E, are advantageous. A strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance is mandatory.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues efficiently. Ability to think critically under pressure and make sound decisions.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, management, and external stakeholders. Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces. Must be able to work in various weather conditions and environments typical of industrial settings.

Work Environment

This position is based in Saudi Arabia and may require travel to remote or offshore locations as part of the job responsibilities. The role involves working in challenging environments, including power plants, water treatment facilities, and other industrial sites. Candidates should be prepared to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays, to support critical operations and emergency response efforts.
