Position Overview
Al Jomaih Energy and Water is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Shift Charge Engineer to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. This critical role is responsible for overseeing and managing operational activities during assigned shifts, ensuring the efficient and safe functioning of our energy and water facilities. Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of engineers and technicians to ensure seamless execution of daily operations, adhering to strict safety and quality protocols.
- Shift Management: Oversee all shift-related activities, including monitoring system performance, troubleshooting operational issues, and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce rigorous safety standards and procedures to maintain a secure working environment, ensuring full compliance with local and international regulations.
- Technical Oversight: Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment and systems to identify potential risks, recommend improvements, and ensure optimal performance.
- Team Coordination: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between shift teams, maintenance personnel, and other departments to align operational goals and resolve cross-functional challenges.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed shift reports, log operational data, and maintain accurate records to support regulatory compliance and internal audits.
- Emergency Response: Act as the primary point of contact during emergencies, coordinating emergency protocols, and ensuring swift and effective resolution of critical incidents.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and implement innovative solutions to improve overall facility performance.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) are advantageous.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in energy, water, or industrial facilities, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of power generation, water treatment processes, and industrial automation systems. Familiarity with SCADA, DCS, and other control systems is preferred.
- Leadership and Communication: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the capacity to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions under tight deadlines.
- Safety and Compliance: Commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards and a thorough understanding of OSHA, ISO, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
