Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• System Design and Planning: Develop comprehensive ELV system designs, including fire alarm systems, CCTV surveillance, access control, structured cabling, and public address systems, in compliance with international standards and local regulations.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed technical specifications, drawings, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) to ensure clarity and accuracy in project execution. Review and validate submittals from vendors and contractors to maintain alignment with project requirements.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, MEP engineers, and project managers, to integrate ELV systems seamlessly into overall project plans. Conduct site inspections and resolve technical challenges to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all ELV systems adhere to relevant codes, such as NFPA, BS, and local Saudi standards (e.g., SASO, SBC). Implement safety protocols and conduct risk assessments to mitigate potential hazards associated with ELV installations.
• Testing and Commissioning: Oversee the testing, commissioning, and handover of ELV systems, including functional verification and performance validation. Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support to ensure optimal system performance post-installation.
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in ELV systems to recommend innovative solutions that enhance system efficiency, scalability, and sustainability. Participate in training programs and knowledge-sharing sessions to foster professional growth.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, installing, and commissioning ELV systems, preferably within the construction, infrastructure, or facilities management sectors in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, or similar, for system design and simulation.
• Strong knowledge of ELV system components, including fire detection systems, intrusion alarms, IP-based surveillance, and structured cabling infrastructure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders, vendors, and team members across diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Professional certifications in ELV systems, such as CFPS (Certified Fire Protection Specialist), NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies), or equivalent, are highly desirable.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
