Key Responsibilities

The Head of Operations will be accountable for the following critical areas:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive operations strategy aligned with business objectives, focusing on scalability, efficiency, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Operational Excellence: Lead and oversee core operational functions, including payments, treasury operations, reconciliations, card operations, back-office processes, and business operations to ensure high service standards.
• Process Optimization: Drive operational transformation through process improvement, automation, and AI-enabled solutions to enhance efficiency and visibility.
• Standardization & Governance: Create and implement standardized operating procedures to improve consistency, efficiency, and operational transparency while maintaining strong governance and regulatory standards.
• Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations organization by fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Risk & Compliance: Partner with compliance, risk, and financial crime teams to ensure operational activities meet regulatory requirements, internal policies, and AML frameworks.
• Digital Asset Operations: Oversee end-to-end digital asset settlement operations, including reconciliation, wallet management, custody controls, and crypto-fiat operational processes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with technology, data, people, and client-facing teams to ensure seamless business alignment and operational efficiency.

Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Experience: 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations within banking, fintech, financial services, or wealth management environments.
• Expertise: Proven ability to scale complex operational functions, including payments, treasury, settlements, and business operations.
• Process Improvement: Strong expertise in operational transformation, automation, and building scalable workflows.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial regulations, compliance requirements, AML frameworks, and financial crime prevention practices.
• Leadership Skills: Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and developing high-performing operational organizations.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate business objectives into actionable operational plans with a focus on long-term growth.
• Digital Asset Experience: Experience with cryptocurrency, blockchain, or digital asset operations is highly valuable.
• Remote Work Proficiency: Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, global environment with strong autonomy and collaboration skills.
