Role Overview
The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and execution of enterprise systems, core platforms, and integrations that underpin secure, compliant, and scalable fintech products. This pivotal role encompasses end-to-end ownership of shared capabilities and operational platforms—such as third-party integrations, CRM systems, customer support platforms, admin portals, and data infrastructure—that serve multiple product and business squads across the organization.
This senior position demands exceptional judgment in regulated environments, the capacity to lead through influence, and a profound understanding of how strategic platform decisions impact customer experience, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Platform & Internal Systems Strategy
- Develop and execute a long-term platform and internal systems strategy that aligns with business growth objectives and regulatory obligations.
- Establish and enforce platform principles and standards, including API-first design, reuse-driven development, audit readiness, and security-by-default protocols.
- Proactively identify structural gaps within the platform and lead initiatives to enhance scalability, reliability, and operational risk management.
Senior Ownership of Third-Party Integrations
- Spearhead product ownership for complex third-party integrations, encompassing:
- Identity verification and authentication providers
- Credit bureaus and risk data services
- Banking, payments, and financing partners
- Government and regulatory systems
- Drive integration strategy across vendors, including:
- Standardized integration patterns and frameworks
- Service Level Agreements (SLAs), monitoring, and incident management protocols
- Versioning, migration, and deprecation strategies
- Collaborate with procurement, legal, and engineering teams to streamline vendor selection and onboarding processes.
CRM, Customer Support & Case Management Platforms
- Define the product direction for CRM and customer support systems, supporting:
- Customer lifecycle management and engagement
- Case handling, dispute resolution, and escalation workflows
- Compliance-driven processes, including KYC/AML reviews and investigations
- Ensure seamless integration between CRM, support platforms, and core fintech systems.
- Optimize operational workflows to minimize manual intervention and enhance resolution efficiency.
Admin Portals & Operational Tooling
- Lead product ownership of admin portals and internal dashboards utilized by:
- Operations teams
- Risk and compliance units
- Customer support departments
- Finance and reconciliation teams
- Ensure admin tools deliver:
- Role-based access control and comprehensive audit trails
- Secure approval workflows and exception handling mechanisms
- High-volume operational throughput with intuitive usability
- Balance operational flexibility with robust governance and control frameworks.
Regulatory, Risk & Compliance Leadership
- Act as a senior product partner to Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Information Security teams.
- Translate regulatory obligations into scalable platform capabilities, avoiding ad-hoc solutions.
- Ensure all platform and operational systems are audit-ready by design, with full traceability and reporting capabilities.
- Lead product responses to regulatory findings, audits, and remediation initiatives.
Roadmap Ownership & Cross-Squad Alignment
- Own and communicate a multi-quarter platform roadmap, balancing:
- Regulatory commitments and compliance requirements
- Operational efficiency and scalability goals
- Product enablement and long-term platform health
- Drive prioritization decisions that consider company-wide impact and strategic alignment.
- Manage complex dependencies across product squads and business functions to ensure cohesive execution.
Execution, Quality & Resilience
- Collaborate closely with engineering leadership to define and enforce:
- Non-functional requirements, including availability, performance, and security standards
- Business continuity and disaster recovery expectations
- Ensure safe and controlled delivery through staged rollouts, robust monitoring, and proactive incident management practices.
Metrics, Outcomes & Continuous Improvement
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure platform success and operational excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform reliability, user experience, and business impact.
- Foster a culture of innovation and accountability, ensuring alignment with Soar’s strategic objectives.
