Engineer, Planning Mechanical III

Job Purpose

As an Engineer, Planning Mechanical III, you will leverage your technical expertise to deliver innovative engineering solutions, drive operational excellence, and contribute to the successful execution of projects within your discipline. Your role is pivotal in optimizing mechanical systems, processes, and components to enhance reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve complex technical challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement sustainable business outcomes that align with organizational goals.

Key Accountabilities

Operational Excellence

You will be responsible for delivering agreed service levels through timely and cost-effective technical support. This includes providing expert engineering advice to stakeholders, applying technical systems and operating models to enhance performance, and achieving HSE targets through adherence to safe and compliant work practices. Your role involves resolving technical issues within complex stakeholder environments, translating stakeholder requirements into actionable technical needs, and analyzing work processes to drive continuous improvement. You will apply quality standards, specifications, and technical requirements to ensure functional excellence while optimizing the total cost of ownership through informed technical decisions. Balancing cost, schedule, and quality based on risk requirements will be a key aspect of your responsibilities.

Technical Improvement & Delivery

You will generate practical engineering ideas that improve operational outcomes and contribute technical analysis to support system and process optimization. Your expertise will be instrumental in implementing engineering solutions that enhance reliability and performance, ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineering outcomes across assigned activities. You will develop recommendations and implement effective technical solutions while monitoring progress and applying corrective actions as required. Maintaining compliance with statutory requirements and professional practices will be a priority, alongside coaching and mentoring team members to strengthen their capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (specific discipline) plus 2 years as a Trainee Engineer.
• Master’s Degree in Engineering (specific discipline) plus a minimum of 6 months as a Trainee Engineer.

Minimum Experience

A minimum of 4 years of relevant engineering experience is required, subject to qualification.
