Position Overview
Linnk Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Administrator – Enterprise Infrastructure to join our dynamic team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This is a renewable, six-month contract opportunity for a motivated professional to oversee and enhance our hybrid IT environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and optimization of our on-premises, virtualized, and cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations, high availability, and compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities
The System Administrator will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our hybrid IT ecosystem. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Windows Server & Identity Management: Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and identity services to ensure secure and efficient user access and resource management.
- Virtualization & Cloud Infrastructure: Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, and Nutanix, optimizing performance, capacity, and resource allocation. Support Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including hybrid identity, cloud governance, backup, and disaster recovery solutions to maintain business continuity.
- Microsoft 365 Administration: Oversee Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Purview, and Copilot, ensuring seamless collaboration, security, and productivity across the organization.
- Endpoint & Patch Management: Deploy, manage, and secure endpoints using SCCM/MECM, implementing patch management processes and lifecycle policies to maintain system integrity and compliance.
- Identity & Access Management: Implement and maintain robust identity and access management controls, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and Privileged Access Management (PAM), to safeguard critical systems and data.
- Storage & Monitoring: Support enterprise storage environments, including SAN administration, capacity planning, and performance optimization. Monitor infrastructure health using tools such as PRTG and Azure Monitor, performing root cause analysis to resolve issues proactively.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure adherence to security standards through vulnerability management, SIEM integration, and audit support. Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to mitigate risks and maintain a secure IT environment.
- Automation & Continuous Improvement: Develop automation solutions using PowerShell to streamline IT operations, reduce manual intervention, and enhance efficiency across the infrastructure.
Qualifications & Experience
To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Professional Background: Proven experience as a System Administrator or Infrastructure Engineer in enterprise environments, with a strong track record of managing hybrid IT infrastructures.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, and identity management. Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Nutanix, and Microsoft Azure is essential.
- Microsoft 365 & Cloud Proficiency: Extensive experience administering Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, and Entra ID, along with a strong understanding of hybrid cloud environments.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Proven experience with Veeam Backup & Replication and disaster recovery planning to ensure data protection and business continuity.
- Endpoint & Security Management: Strong understanding of SCCM/MECM, endpoint management, patch management, and cybersecurity controls, including vulnerability management and SIEM integration.
- Scripting & Analytical Skills: Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, troubleshooting complex issues, and analytical problem-solving. Excellent stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Compliance & Monitoring: Familiarity with compliance frameworks and monitoring tools such as PRTG and Azure Monitor to maintain operational excellence.
