Position Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations of our rapidly expanding E-commerce business based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will lead the accounting team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records while providing strategic insights to drive business growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management, compliance, and team leadership within the E-commerce or retail sector.

Key Responsibilities

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for a wide range of financial and operational duties, including:

• Financial Operations Leadership: Oversee the company’s accounting functions, including General Ledger management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Bank Reconciliations, to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict adherence to IFRS and local regulatory requirements, including VAT compliance and statutory filings.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop, manage, and optimize budgeting and forecasting processes to align financial resources with strategic business objectives, providing actionable insights for senior leadership.
• Management Reporting (MIS): Design, analyze, and deliver comprehensive Management Information System (MIS) reports to facilitate data-driven decision-making across the organization.
• Month-End & Year-End Closing: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting while maintaining strong internal controls.
• Cash Flow & Financial Performance: Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial health to optimize liquidity and support operational sustainability.
• Internal Controls & Risk Management: Establish, maintain, and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory standards.
• Financial Analysis & Strategic Support: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, profitability assessments, and variance analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, supporting executive decision-making.
• External Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities during audits, tax filings, and compliance reviews to ensure transparency and adherence to legal requirements.
• ERP & Financial Systems Management: Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of ERP financial modules (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, NetSuite) to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency.
• Team Leadership & Development: Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and high performance.
• Process Improvement & Automation: Identify and implement process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline financial operations, reduce manual effort, and enhance reporting accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or SOCPA are highly advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity. Prior experience in E-commerce, Retail, Marketplace, or Digital Commerce is strongly preferred.
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, VAT regulations, and internal controls. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
