Education IT Coordinator

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Education IT Coordinator to join our dynamic team at INCO-EG IT in Jeddah. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between educational institutions and cutting-edge technology, ensuring seamless integration of IT solutions to enhance learning experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both education and information technology, with a passion for leveraging technology to drive educational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and optimization of IT systems, including hardware, software, networks, and cloud services, to support educational operations and digital learning environments.
• Educational Technology Integration: Collaborate with educators and administrators to identify and implement innovative educational technologies, such as learning management systems (LMS), interactive whiteboards, and student information systems (SIS), to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
• Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide timely and effective technical support to faculty, staff, and students, resolving hardware and software issues to minimize disruptions in academic activities.
• Cybersecurity and Compliance: Ensure the security and integrity of educational data by implementing robust cybersecurity measures, adhering to data protection regulations, and conducting regular audits to mitigate risks.
• Training and Professional Development: Organize and deliver training sessions for educators and staff on the effective use of educational technologies, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the institution.
• Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with external vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders to procure, deploy, and manage IT resources, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and budgetary constraints.
• Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage the IT budget, allocating resources efficiently to support educational initiatives while optimizing cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Education Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT coordination, educational technology, or a related role within an academic or corporate environment.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud computing (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS), and cybersecurity best practices. Familiarity with educational software and systems is essential.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and adapt to evolving technological landscapes.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or Certified Education Technology Leader (CETL) are highly desirable.
