Position Overview

Baker Hughes is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Specialist to join our dynamic team in Dhahran. In this critical role, you will serve as the primary technical interface between our customers and our organization, ensuring seamless execution of field operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The Field Specialist will be responsible for delivering exceptional on-site support, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and driving operational excellence in alignment with Baker Hughes’ global best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level technical assistance to customers and field teams, diagnosing and resolving complex equipment or system issues in real-time. Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and methodologies to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Field Operations Management: Oversee and execute field operations, including installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of equipment. Ensure adherence to project timelines, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance while optimizing operational efficiency.
• Customer Engagement and Relationship Building: Act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their operational challenges and providing tailored technical solutions. Foster long-term relationships by delivering consistent, high-quality service and maintaining open lines of communication.
• Training and Knowledge Transfer: Conduct training sessions and workshops for customers and internal teams to enhance technical competencies and ensure safe, efficient equipment operation. Develop and deliver customized training materials as needed.
• Safety and Compliance: Champion a culture of safety by strictly adhering to Baker Hughes’ safety policies, industry regulations, and local laws. Conduct risk assessments, implement corrective actions, and ensure all field activities comply with environmental and operational standards.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report operational data to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare detailed reports for management and customers, highlighting key metrics and actionable insights.
• Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and logistics, to align field activities with organizational goals. Participate in project planning, resource allocation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and strong interpersonal abilities. The ideal candidate will have:

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in a specialized discipline are a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in field operations, technical support, or a similar role within the oil and gas, industrial, or energy sector.
• Proven expertise in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of complex equipment, with a deep understanding of industry standards and best practices.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a results-driven mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, software applications, and data analysis platforms relevant to the role.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region, including international assignments if required. A valid driver’s license and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, are essential.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; additional language skills are advantageous.
