Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Operations Oversight Senior Specialist to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

The Operations Oversight Senior Specialist will be responsible for a wide range of critical functions, including:

• Operational Oversight Planning and Coordination:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive security operation plans for port premises, aligning them with ZATCA’s strategic priorities and ensuring adherence to established guidelines.
  • Identify operational gaps, best practices, and areas for improvement in collaboration with port managers and the Security Planning and Monitoring function.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement authorities to minimize operational violations and enhance work efficiency at port locations.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure strict compliance with legalized procedures for the destruction, seizure, and handling of restricted, smuggled, or unauthorized goods and products.
• Operational Oversight Monitoring and Follow-up:
  • Monitor the implementation of new projects at port premises, manage project documentation, and maintain robust archiving systems to facilitate efficient data retrieval and future reference.
  • Conduct periodic quality assurance checks to identify operational gaps and escalate findings to the Security Planning and Monitoring function for policy and procedure updates.
  • Ensure the timely implementation of corrective actions derived from KPI assessments and internal audit findings, working closely with port managers to address issues effectively.
  • Report any technical or operational challenges that may impact operations, ensuring adherence to high-quality standards and proactive resolution.
  • Prepare and present detailed periodic reports highlighting the progress of security operations across all port premises, key findings from corrective action implementations, challenges encountered, and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Organization and Operations:
  • Adhere to all relevant policies, processes, and standard operating procedures to maintain controlled and consistent workflows.
  • Provide expert support in resolving escalated operational issues and guide junior team members to ensure efficient task execution.
  • Escalate complex problems to the appropriate personnel to ensure thorough investigation and resolution.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the operational objectives of the organization.
• People Management:
  • Mentor and train junior staff on job-specific activities, fostering knowledge transfer and skill development within the team.
  • Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign responsibilities, and monitor the workflow of subordinates to ensure optimal performance.
  • Support direct reports in executing their duties in accordance with established policies and processes, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Communication and Contacts:
  • Serve as a liaison between port operations, internal departments, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and alignment of objectives.
  • Facilitate the exchange of critical information to support decision-making and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Competencies

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Administration, or an equivalent field.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in operations oversight, security management, or a related field, with a proven track record of driving operational improvements.
