Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality & Infection Control Manager to lead and oversee quality improvement and infection prevention initiatives across all Baraya Extended Care facilities. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive quality management and infection control programs to ensure compliance with MOH, CBAHI, and international healthcare standards. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a culture of patient safety, driving continuous improvement in care outcomes, and maintaining organizational readiness for accreditation and regulatory inspections. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in healthcare quality management, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance, along with exceptional leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

The Quality & Infection Control Manager will play a central role in advancing the organization’s commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Quality Program Leadership: Develop, implement, and oversee quality improvement programs across inpatient and outpatient services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to MOH, CBAHI, and international healthcare quality standards, including patient safety protocols and accreditation readiness.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and report on quality indicators, infection control data, and performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Audits & Risk Management: Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and tracer methodologies to evaluate compliance and identify gaps. Develop and implement corrective action plans to address deficiencies and enhance operational performance.
  • Infection Prevention & Control: Lead infection control programs, including surveillance of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), outbreak investigations, and the implementation of evidence-based prevention strategies. Develop and update infection control policies and procedures to mitigate risks.
  • Staff Education & Training: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs to educate staff on quality improvement methodologies, patient safety principles, and infection prevention best practices. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous learning across all departments.
  • Accreditation & Inspection Readiness: Ensure the organization is consistently prepared for CBAHI, MOH, and other regulatory inspections by maintaining up-to-date documentation, conducting mock surveys, and coordinating follow-up actions.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Work closely with clinical and administrative leaders to drive improvement initiatives, support departmental compliance, and align quality goals with organizational strategy. Lead quality and infection control committees to facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
  • Policy Development: Create, review, and update policies, procedures, and performance indicators to ensure they reflect current best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Reporting & Communication: Prepare detailed reports for senior management and governing bodies, providing insights into quality performance, risks, and strategic recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and professional attributes:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Medicine, Public Health, or Healthcare Quality is required. A Master’s degree in Quality Management, Patient Safety, or Public Health is highly preferred.
  • Certifications: Certification in Quality Management (e.g., CPHQ) and/or Infection Control (e.g., CIC) is preferred. A valid professional license (if clinically qualified) is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in healthcare quality management and infection control, with a proven track record of managing quality programs and leading improvement initiatives. Experience with CBAHI accreditation and MOH regulations is mandatory.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of quality improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), patient safety principles, and infection prevention practices. Proficiency in analyzing quality data, identifying trends, and developing actionable insights.
  • Leadership & Soft Skills: Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams and driving organizational change. Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills are essential for engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in both written and spoken Arabic and English is required to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
