Analyst - Operational Readiness

About the Role

As an Analyst - Operational Readiness, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless transition of new assets, facilities, systems, or services from project delivery to full operational status. Your responsibilities will encompass the planning, coordination, and execution of readiness activities, working closely with cross-functional teams to guarantee that all operational requirements are met before handover. Key Responsibilities

• Readiness Planning and Coordination: Assist in the development, maintenance, and execution of Operational Readiness plans, schedules, and trackers to ensure all readiness activities are aligned with project timelines and business objectives.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments to monitor readiness activities, collect status updates, and ensure alignment with operational goals. Act as a liaison between project teams and operational departments to facilitate a smooth transition.
• Progress Tracking and Escalation: Monitor readiness milestones, actions, risks, issues, and dependencies, providing timely updates and escalating concerns to senior management as needed. Maintain a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential roadblocks.
• Reporting and Documentation: Assist in the preparation of readiness reports, dashboards, and presentations for management, ensuring clarity and accuracy in communication. Maintain comprehensive documentation, including readiness evidence and project records, to support compliance and operational continuity.
• Operational Procedure Development: Support the creation and review of operational procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and work instructions to ensure they are comprehensive, up-to-date, and aligned with industry best practices.
• Workshop and Meeting Coordination: Organize and facilitate readiness workshops, meetings, and site inspections, documenting actions, follow-ups, and decisions to drive accountability and progress.
• Testing and Assessment Support: Assist in the planning and execution of testing activities, including operational trials, simulations, and readiness assessments, to validate that systems and processes are ready for business-as-usual operations.
• Handover Readiness: Ensure all operational documentation is complete and accurate before handover, working closely with project teams to address any gaps or deficiencies.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance readiness processes, reporting mechanisms, and operational workflows, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience in Operational Readiness, Project Management, Operations, Consulting, or a closely related discipline.
• Fundamental understanding of project lifecycle phases and operational handover processes, with a focus on ensuring seamless transitions from project delivery to operations.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and solve complex problems efficiently.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in using project management tools, spreadsheets, and presentation software to support readiness activities and reporting.
