Position Overview

Avanceon is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Store In-Charge to oversee the receipt, management, and issuance of engineering equipment and materials. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring timely shipments, and coordinating logistics in alignment with project requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, the ability to thrive under pressure, and a meticulous approach to inventory control. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting Avanceon’s operational efficiency and ensuring seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Maintain a well-organized inventory by receiving shipments, verifying materials against purchase orders, and labeling goods with identifiable codes. Ensure all items are stored in compliance with company safety standards and procedures.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain bin cards and issue records for all items in the store. Prepare and submit monthly stock/inventory balance reports to management. Generate Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) for all shipments and coordinate with the accounts department to ensure accurate cost booking.
  • Quality Control and Compliance: Inspect incoming shipments for any damaged items and immediately notify the relevant departments for resolution. Implement and adhere to company-prescribed procedures for the preservation and storage of materials to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Logistics and Shipment Coordination: Arrange and manage the packing of shipments in accordance with standard requirements tailored to the nature of the commodity. Oversee inland transport logistics in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure timely execution of payments for transportation services.
  • Insurance and Audits: Update the insurance company regularly and maintain log sheets to track material movements. Conduct audits in accordance with regional legal and standard SOPs. Perform special tasks as directed by management to support operational objectives.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, accounts, and logistics providers, to ensure seamless coordination and adherence to project timelines.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in storekeeping, warehouse management, or logistics, with a proven track record in inventory control and material handling.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of inventory systems, including receipt, labeling, storage, issuance, and bin card management. Familiarity with Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), monthly stock reporting, and coordination with accounting teams for cost reconciliation.
  • Logistics and Transport: Experience in managing shipment arrangements, packing materials as per commodity-specific standards, and organizing inland transport logistics in compliance with SOPs.
  • Insurance and Compliance: Understanding of insurance processes, including coordination with internal teams for material movements and maintaining accurate log sheets. Ability to conduct audits and ensure adherence to local laws and freezone regulations.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Capable of performing additional tasks as assigned by management and working effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Technical Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, for documentation, reporting, and data management.
