Key Responsibilities

The General Services Employee will be responsible for a wide range of duties designed to uphold the cleanliness, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our workplace. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Facility Maintenance: Performing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting across all designated areas, including offices, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces.
• Waste Management: Collecting, sorting, and disposing of waste in accordance with company policies and local regulations to promote a clean and sustainable environment.
• Supply Management: Monitoring and replenishing cleaning supplies, restroom amenities, and other essential materials to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Basic Maintenance Tasks: Assisting with minor repairs, such as replacing light bulbs, tightening loose fixtures, or reporting larger maintenance issues to the appropriate team for resolution.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhering to health and safety protocols, including proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment operation, and emergency procedures to maintain a secure workplace.
• Customer Service: Interacting professionally with employees, clients, and visitors, addressing inquiries or concerns related to facility services with a courteous and solution-oriented approach.
• Special Projects: Supporting ad-hoc tasks such as event setup, office relocations, or seasonal deep cleaning as required by the operations team.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is required; additional vocational training in facility management or related fields is a plus.
• Prior experience in a similar role within a corporate, hospitality, or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality results.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently, including lifting up to 20 kg and standing for extended periods.
• Proficiency in basic cleaning equipment and tools, with the ability to operate machinery such as floor buffers or carpet cleaners as needed.
• Excellent time management skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team.
• Fluency in Arabic and English is preferred, with strong communication skills to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
