Key Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Engineering intern within the Tamheer Program, you will play an integral role in supporting various engineering functions across Hikma Pharmaceuticals PLC. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Assisting in the design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical systems and components to ensure efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and quality assurance, to identify and resolve engineering challenges in a timely manner.
• Participating in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems within manufacturing facilities, ensuring seamless operations and adherence to safety protocols.
• Conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and proposing innovative solutions to enhance operational performance and minimize downtime.
• Supporting the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies, to drive productivity and cost efficiency.
• Utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools to create detailed drawings, models, and simulations that support project execution and decision-making.
• Documenting technical reports, process improvements, and project outcomes to maintain accurate records and facilitate knowledge sharing within the organization.

Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Recent graduate or final-year student in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
• Strong academic background with a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and familiarity with engineering simulation tools is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practical applications.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
