Position Overview
Ma’aden is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineer, Planning Mechanical III to join our dynamic team at the Ras Al-Khair site. Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical Systems Planning: Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive mechanical planning strategies to optimize the performance and reliability of machinery and equipment across the Ras Al-Khair facility. This includes conducting detailed assessments, forecasting maintenance needs, and aligning plans with operational objectives.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and field personnel, to ensure that mechanical planning aligns with project timelines, budgets, and safety standards. Act as a liaison to streamline communication and resolve planning-related challenges.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential mechanical risks and inefficiencies within the facility, proposing proactive solutions to mitigate downtime and enhance operational continuity. Utilize advanced tools and methodologies to analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all mechanical planning activities adhere to industry regulations, company policies, and international safety standards. Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance and promote a culture of safety excellence among team members.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, including mechanical plans, reports, and maintenance schedules. Ensure that all records are up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders for informed decision-making.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in mechanical planning. Recommend and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve sustainability within the facility.
Qualifications and Experience
To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CMRP) are highly desirable.
- A minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in a planning or project management role within an industrial or mining environment.
- Proven expertise in mechanical systems planning, including experience with CAD software, maintenance management systems (MMS), and enterprise asset management (EAM) tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a track record of effectively collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry-specific compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English; Arabic language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
